Holding Onto God’s Promises: A Faithful Anchor in Every Season

Numbers 23:19 “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

In a world full of uncertainties, we can be certain of this, God’s promises never fail! From the Old Testament to the New, the Bible is filled with His words of assurance, faithfulness, and love. As believers, we are called to stand firm, trusting that what God has spoken, He will fulfill.

God’s Promises Are Yes and Amen

2 Corinthians 1:20 tells us, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

If He has promised to never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6), you can walk confidently knowing that you are never alone. If He has promised to provide for your needs (Philippians 4:19), you can trust that even in seasons of scarcity, His provision will sustain you.

The Power of Patience and Trust

One of my favorite promises is in Genesis 17 and 18. The Lord promises Abraham and Sarah a child in their old age, though both laugh, seemingly in doubt, God, in His faithfulness brings His promise to fruition.

God’s timing looks different from ours. Waiting on the Lord refines our faith and deepens our dependence on Him.

Holding On Through Life’s Storms

There are moments when it feels like God’s promises are distant or forgotten. Maybe you’ve been praying for restoration, or breakthrough, and you’re still in the waiting. But be encouraged, every promise God has given you is still in motion. Even when we don’t see it, God is working!

Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

In conclusion: Encourage one another in the promises of God!

God calls us to grow together in faith, (allgrowtogether)

1 “Tessalonians 5:11 “encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing”

Lets remind and encourage one another of His goodness! When we see a brother or sister in Christ struggling, lets be the voice that reassures them: “God is faithful. He will do what He said!”

So today, whatever you’re believing for, hold fast to His promises. Speak them over your life. Write them down. Declare them in prayer. The same God who was faithful to Abraham, Joseph, David, and countless others is the same God who is faithful to you.

What promise are you holding onto today? If you feel comfortable, place it in the comments so we can stand in faith together!
